Alexkuznetsovite-(Ce) is a relatively new mineral, approved in 2019 and to date (September 2023) reported only from the type locality.

Localities

At the type locality, Mochalin Log, Kyshtym, Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia, alexkuznetsovite-(Ce) occurs as anhedral grains, up to 0.9 mm in diameter, in polymineralic nodules from the rare-earth-element deposit. Associated minerals include törnebohmite-(La), törnebohmite-(Ce), percleveite-(La), percleveite-(Ce), perbøeite-(La), perbøeite-(Ce), fluorbritholite-(Ce), bastnäsite-(La), bastnäsite-(Ce), allanite-(La) and allanite-(Ce) (Mindat).
