Hydrothermal environments

Brackebuschite is a rare secondary mineral in the oxidised zone of hydrothermal lead-zinc deposits. Associated minerals include descloizite, vanadinite, wulfenite and cerussite (HOM, Mindat).

Localities

At the type locality, the Venus mine, Venus Pb-Zn deposit, El Guaico mining district, Sierra de Córdoba, Punilla Department, Córdoba Province, Argentina, brackebuschite occurs in oxidised hydrothermal veins in a lead-zinc deposit, associated with descloizite and vanadinite (Dana, Mindat).
