Evaporite deposits

Calcioveatchite is a new mineral, approved in 2020 and to date (December 2024) reported only from the type locality.

Localities

At the type locality, the Nepskoe K salt deposit, Nepa River basin, Lower Tunguska, Irkutsk Oblast, Russia, calcioveatchite occurs in the evaporite salt deposit as prismatic or tabular crystals up to 1 × 1.5 × 3 mm3 and crystal clusters up to 3 mm. Associated minerals include halite, sylvite, carnallite, boracite, hilgardite, kurgantaite, hydroboracite, volkovskite, veatchite, anhydrite, magnesite and quartz (Mindat).
