Localities

At the type locality, Olenevo, Mukachevo Raion, Zakarpattia Oblast, Ukraine, carpathite occurs in cavities at the contact of diorite porphyry with argillites. Associated minerals include idrialite, amorphous organic material, calcite, baryte, quartz, cinnabar and metacinnabar (HOM).
