Localities

At the Vauze Mine, Rouyn-Noranda TE, Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Quebec, Canada, cobaltpentlandite occurs as fine intergrowths in grains of linnaeite, associated with chalcopyrite, sphalerite and pyrrhotite (AM 50.2107-2108).

The type locality is the Varislahti deposit, Outokumpu Cu-Co-Zn-Ni-Ag-Au ore field, North Karelia, Finland.
