Cubargyrite is a rare mineral, to date (November 2021) found only at the type locality.

Localities

At the type locality, the Bergmannstrost mine, Baberast mining district, Haslach im Kinzigtal, Haslach im Kinzigtal, Ortenaukreis, Freiburg Region, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, cubargyrite is part of a quartz-arsenopyrite hydrothermal assemblage, where it occurs as grayish black, anhedral grains, to 0.5 mm across, associated with quartz and arsenopyrite (AM 84.1196, HOM).
