Localities

At the type locality, the Korshunovskoye iron deposit, Zheleznogorsk-Ilimsky, Nizhneilimsky District, Irkutsk Oblast, Russia, dashkovaite occurs as white, fibrous aggregates in hydrothermal veinlets in dolomite marble; the veinlets are up to 1 mm in width, wherein the fibres are up to 3 mm long and 0.01 mm wide. Associated minerals include shabynite, iowaite, ekaterinite, korshunovskite, halite, hydromagnesite and serpentine (AM 86.1534-1537).
