Environments

Metamorphic environments

Dollaseite-(Ce) occurs in tactite replacement deposits developed during metamorphism of dolomitic limestone. Associated minerals include tremolite, norbergite, magnetite, dolomite and calcite (HOM).

Localities

At the type locality, the Östanmossa mine, Röberg ore field, Norberg, Västmanland County, Sweden, dollaseite-(Ce) forms massive brown aggregates of submillimeter-sized crystals associated with tremolite, norbergite, and calcite. It is also reported from several mines in the Moklinta ore field, Avesta, Sweden (R&M 86-5.452).
