Pegmatites

Euxenite-(Y) is a rare-earth mineral that occurs in granite pegmatites and also as a component of detrital black sands (Webmin, HOM). Associated minerals include albite, microcline, biotite, muscovite, ilmenite, monazite, xenotime, zircon, beryl, magnetite, garnet, allanite, gadolinite, aeschynite-(Y), thorite, uraninite and columbite (HOM).

Localities

At the Gole quarry, Murchison township, Ontario, Canada, euxenite-(Y) is associated with fergusonite-(Y) (Dana).
