Environments
Ferronigerite-2N1S occurs in tin-bearing
pegmatitic rocks
(Webmin).
Localities
At the Xianghualing Sn-polymetallic ore field, Linwu county, Chenzhou, Hunan, China,
lithium-bearing ferronigerite-2N1S was found near the outer contact
zone of carbonate rocks and granite. Individual grain size of the
ferronigerite-2N1S crystals is approximately 300 microns and it has a thick tabular hexagonal form. Associated
minerals include cassiterite,
biotite, calcite and
fluorite
(CM 51.6.913-919).
The type locality is the Ferronigerite-2N1S occurrence, Yagba West, Kogi, Nigeria.
