Plutonic igneous environments

Iridarsenite occurs in nuggets or fragments of natural Os–Ir–Ru alloys, associated with irarsite, ruthenarsenite and rutheniridosmine (HOM).

Localities

At the type locality, the Waria River, Ioma area, Oro Province, Papua New Guinea, iridarsenite occurs as irregular inclusions up to 60 microns across in a matrix of rutheniridosmine associated with ruthenarsenite (CM.2.280-284).
