Localities

At the type locality, the Childs-Adwinkle mine, Copper Creek, Bunker Hill District, Pinal county, Arizona, USA, markascherite is of secondary origin and is associated with brochantite, antlerite, lindgrenite, wulfenite, natrojarosite and chalcanthite (AM 97.197-202). It is formed by weathering of primary molybdenite, bornite, chalcocite and chalcopyrite in a breccia pipe (HOM, Mindat).
