Hydrothermal environments

Miguelromeroite occurs in secondary oxidation zones of arsenic-rich base metal deposits. Associated minerals include arseniosiderite, ogdensburgite, chalcophanite and adamite (HOM).

Localities

At the Veta Negra Mine, Pampa Larga mining district, Tierra Amarilla, Copiapó Province, Atacama, Chile, miguelromeroite occurs as sprays and divergent aggregates of transparent pink prisms to several millimeters in length (Mindat).

At the type locality, the Ojuela Mine, Mapimí, Mapimí Municipality, Durango, Mexico, miguelromeroite has been found as a compact spray of orange-pink, prismatic crystals up to 4 cm in length in the secondary oxidation zone assemblage, associated with adamite, arseniosiderite, chalcophanite and ogdensburgite (Mindat).

At the Sterling Mine, Sterling Hill, Ogdensburg, Sussex County, New Jersey, USA, miguelromeroite occurs as transparent orange-pink crystals in flattened, circular, radial aggregates 7 mm across (Mindat).
