Ohmilite has been reported only from the type locality, Ōmi, Itoigawa City, Niigata, Japan, where it occurs in riebeckite-albite units in serpentinite (Webmin, Dana), associated with magnesio-riebeckite, quartz, albite, phlogopite, benitoite, bario-orthojoaquinite and leucosphenite (HOM).
