At the type locality, the Koashva Open Pit, Koashva Mt, Khibiny Massif, Murmansk Oblast, Russia, rémondite-(La) is a late-stage hydrothermal mineral in a small, hyperagpaitic pegmatite. Associated minerals include aegirine, cancrisilite, sodalite, microcline, villiaumite, natrolite, pectolite, lomonosovite, barytolamprophyllite, natron, thermonatrite, catapleiite, sazykinaite-(Y), niobium-bearing rinkite, vitusite-(Ce) and fluorcaphite (AM86.377, HOM).
