Localities

At the type locality, the Indarch meteorite, Hindarx, Aghjabadi District, Azerbaijan, roedderite has been found as an accessory in the enstatite chondrite. The assemblage in which it occurs consists of enstatite, clinoenstatite, troilite, nickel-iron and small amounts of schreibersite, plagioclase, tridymite, oldhamite, glass and carbon (AM 51.949-955).

At the Bellerberg volcano, Vordereifel, Mayen-Koblenz District, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, roedderite occurs in vesicles in contact metamorphosed gneiss xenoliths in leucite tephrite. Associated minerals include hematite, tridymite, sanidine, spinel, pyroxene, quartz and sillimanite (HOM).
