Localities
At the Muruai and Uel'kuai rivers, Seidozero Lake, Lovozersky District, Murmansk Oblast, Russia, seidoxerite
has been found in four nepheline syenite
pegmatites. It occurs as radiating crystals up to
5 X 1 cm in size, brownish red to reddish yellow in small fragments, translucent with red colour and vitreous lustre.
Associated minerals include microcline,
aegirine,
nepheline, apatite,
pyrochlore, magnetite,
ilmenite, titanium-bearing
låvenite
and eudialyte. It is replaced by minerals of the
catapleiite type
(AM 44.467-468).
