At the type locality, the Mogurazawa mine, Kiryu City, Gunma Prefecture, Japan, suzukiite occurs in massive
rhodonite-rhodochrosite ores
of a bedded manganese deposit, formed in very weakly metamorphosed
cherts. Associated minerals include
quartz, baryte,
alabandite, nagashimalite,
rhodonite, rhodochrosite
and barium-bearing roscoelite
(HOM).
