Localities

At the type locality, Alpe Rosso, Orcesco, Druogno, Verbano-Cusio-Ossola Province, Piedmont, Italy. vigezzite occurs with other niobium minerals such as pyrochlore, columbite and fersmite in miarolitic cavities in an albitised pegmatite in amphibolite and biotite gneiss (AM 65.811-812, HOM).
