Metamorphic environments

Although vozhminite was approved in 1981, to date (December 2023) it has been reported only from the type locality.

Localities

At the type locality, the Vozhminskii Massif, Northern Karelia, Murmansk Oblast, Russia, vozhminite occurs as grains, 5 to 50 microns in size, in heazlewoodite ore in serpentinites. Other associated minerals include tučekite, magnetite, geversite and native copper (AM 68.645).
