Whiteite-(CaFeMg) is found in pegmatites
(Webmin).
Localities
At the type locality, the Ilha claim, Taquaral, Itinga, Minas Gerais, Brazil, whiteite-(CaFeMg) occurs in
a complex zoned granite
pegmatite, associated with
whiteite-(MnFeMg),
childrenite-eosphorite,
zanazziite, wardite,
albite and quartz, upon large
rose quartz crystals and along joints and fractures in
quartz and albite
(Dana, HOM).
At the Blow River Area, Dawson mining district, Yukon, Canada, whiteite-(CaFeMg) occurs in an
iron formation associated with
siderite, lazulite,
arrojadite and quartz
(HOM).
At the Chickering Mine, Walpole, Cheshire county, New Hampshire, USA, whiteite
group species have been found as tiny crystals. Vivianite and
ludlamite are sometimes associated
(R&M 90-5.422).
