Localities

At the type locality, the Ilha claim, Taquaral, Itinga, Minas Gerais, Brazil, whiteite-(CaFeMg) occurs in a complex zoned granite pegmatite, associated with whiteite-(MnFeMg), childrenite-eosphorite, zanazziite, wardite, albite and quartz, upon large rose quartz crystals and along joints and fractures in quartz and albite (Dana, HOM).

At the Blow River Area, Dawson mining district, Yukon, Canada, whiteite-(CaFeMg) occurs in an iron formation associated with siderite, lazulite, arrojadite and quartz (HOM).

At the Chickering Mine, Walpole, Cheshire county, New Hampshire, USA, whiteite group species have been found as tiny crystals. Vivianite and ludlamite are sometimes associated (R&M 90-5.422).
