Ariegilatite is a new mineral, approved in 2016 and to date reported only from the Hatrurim Formation.

Localities

At the Aravaite type locality, Hatrurim Basin, Tamar Regional Council, Southern District, Israel, ariegilatite occurs in an altered spurrite marble as flat disc-shaped crystals up to 0.5 mm in size. Associated minerals include spurrite, shulamitite, fluormayenite, fluorkyuygenite, fluorapatite, calcite and brownmillerite (Mindat).
