Arsenopalladinite occurs in gold deposits, and in alluvial placers and ultra-basic intrusions. It is an ore of palladium (Mindat, Webmin).

Localities

At the type locality, Itabira, Minas Gerais, Brazil, arsenopalladinite occurs in grains 0.3 to 1.8 mm in size in concentrates from gold washing. Associated minerals include hematite, palladian gold, atheneite, stillwaterite, palladseite, isomertieite and quartz (AM 59.1332, HOM).

At the Cauê mine, Itabira, Minas Gerais, Brazil, arsenopalladinite is associated with gold, palladium and palladseite (HOM).

At the Siika-Kämä PGE Reef, Portimo complex, Lapland Region, Finland, arsenopalladinite is associated with stillwaterite, braggite, vysotskite, sperrylite and hollingworthite (HOM).
