Biehlite is a very rare mineral approved in 1999 and to date (May 2024) reported only from its type locality, the Tsumeb Mine, Oshikoto Region, Namibia. Here it is a secondary mineral found associated with anglesite and wulfenite on fine-grained copper ore in the oxidation zone of the mine, in a dolostone-hosted hydrothermal polymetallic ore deposit (Mindat, Webmin, AM 86.197).
