Localities

At the type locality, the Delbe orebody, Kuranakh ore field, Aldan, Sakha, Russia, cheremnykhite occurs as elongate tabular crystals, 0.1 to 0.5 mm in size. It occurs with kuksite, dugganite, yafsoanite, descloizite and Te-Pb-Mn-saponite as a late-stage interstitial mineral in calcite at the Kuranakh gold deposit. In hand specimens the mineral is greenish yellow, transparent in transmitted light, with a white streak and adamantine lustre (AM 77.446).
