Localities

At the type locality, the Delbe orebody, Kuranakh ore field, Aldan, Sakha, Russia, kuksite occurs as thin tabular crystals, 0.1 to 0.3 mm in size, associated with cheremnykhite, dugganite, yafsoanite, descloizite and Te-Pb-Mn-saponite, as a late-stage interstitial mineral in calcite of the Kuranakh gold deposit. In hand specimens kuksite is grey and turbid, and transparent in transmitted light (AM 77.1.446-452).
