Localities

At El Dragón mine, Antonio Quijarro Province, Potosí, Bolivia, clinochalcomenite occurs in a hydrothermal selenium vein deposit, associated with chalcomenite, cobaltomenite and alunite (HOM).

Clinochalcomenite was originally reported from an undisclosed locality in Gansu Province, China. It occurred as a very rare secondary mineral in the oxidised zone of a uranium deposit in brecciated carbonaceous slate, closely associated with volborthite, chalcomenite, umangite and malachite (AM 66.217).
