Environments
Clinoptilolite-K is most commonly formed as a devitrification product of silicic volcanic glass from
tuffs. It also occurs in cavities in
rhyolites, andesites
and basalts
(Webmin).
Localities
At the Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, clinoptilolite-K has been found associated with
calcite, laumontite,
quartz (agate variety) and
stilbite
(Mindat photo).
