Dendoraite-(NH4) is a new mineral, approved in 2020 and to date (November 2024) recorded only from the type locality.

Localities

At the type locality, the 125 foot level, Rowley Mine, Theba, Painted Rock Mining District, Painted Rock Mountains, Maricopa county, Arizona, USA, dendoraite-(NH4) occurs in an unusual bat-guano-related, post-mining assemblage that includes a variety of vanadates, phosphates, oxalates and chlorides, some containing NH4+. Other secondary minerals found in association with dendoraite-(NH4) include antipinite, fluorite, mimetite, mottramite, relianceite-(K), rowleyite, salammoniac, struvite, vanadinite, willemite and wulfenite. Crystals of dendoraite-(NH4) are colourless blades up to ~0.1 mm in length. (MM 86.4.531-538).
