Localities

At the type locality, the Sebastião Cristino claim, Linópolis, Divino das Laranjeiras, Minas Gerais, Brazil, ferroqingheiite occurs as rims around frondelite grains, included in a matrix of quartz and albite. Frondelite is locally replaced by jahnsite, cyrilovite and iron-manganese oxides. The geological setting is a granite pegmatite (EJM 22.3.459-467).
