Localities

At the Svornost mine, Jáchymov, Karlovy Vary District, Karlovy Vary Region, Czech Republic, koritnigite is associated with erythrite, arsenolite and sphalerite (HOM).

At the type locality, the Tsumeb mine, Tsumeb, Oshikoto Region, Namibia, koritnigite occurs as a secondary mineral of the lower oxidation zone in a dolostone-hosted polymetallic hydrothermal ore deposit. Associated minerals include tennantite, copper-bearing adamite, stranskiite, lavendulan, köttigite, tsumcorite, prosperite and o’danielite (AM 65.206, Dana, HOM).
