Kraisslite occurs as a secondary mineral in micaceous veinlets and fracture fillings in the zincite zone of a metamorphosed zinc deposit, (Dana, Webmin) associated with zincite, willemite, sussexite, sphalerite, rhodochrosite, pyrochroite, franklinite, baryte and austinite (Mindat, AM63.938).
