Pegmatites

Kryzhanovskite is a rare low-temperature oxidation product of phosphate minerals in complex granite pegmatites and iron formations (HOM).

Localities

At Rapid Creek, Dawson mining district, Yukon, Canada, kryzhanovskite is associated with garyansellite, ludlamite, arrojadite, vivianite, metavivianite, souzalite and quartz (HOM).

At the type locality, the Ak-Kezen' pegmatite, Belogorskiy, Ulan, East Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan, kryzhanovskite occurs in the pegmatite as the outer part of a large nodule of altered triphylite, intimately associated with sicklerite, from which it probably formed (AM 36.382).

At the Clementine II pegmatite, Okatjimukuju Farm 55, Karibib Constituency, Erongo Region, Namibia, kryzhanovskite is associated with ferrisicklerite and triphylite (HOM).
