Ludjibaite is a rare mineral in the oxidised zone of some copper deposits (Webmin).

Localities

At the type locality, the Ludjiba Mountains, Shinkolobwe, Kambove District, Haut-Katanga, DR Congo, ludjibaite occurs as aggregates of blue-geen blades, up to 0.3 mm, on pseudomalachite in association with libethenite (AM 73.1495).
