Localities

At the type locality, the Tsumeb mine, Tsumeb, Oshikoto Region, Namibia, ludlockite occurs in the germanite section of sulphide ore in a complex polymetallic hydrothermal ore deposit. Associated minerals include zinc-bearing siderite, tennantite, chalcocite, pyrite, bornite, germanite, quartz, leiteite, renierite, stolzite and schneiderhöhnite (HOM, Webmin, AM 57.1003-1004).
