Localities

At the type locality, the Taylor Pit, Huntingdon Township, Centre Hastings Municipality, Hastings county, Ontario, Canada, madocite occurs in marble. Associated minerals include jamesonite, boulangerite and arsenopyrite (HOM). The depositional sequence, from oldest to youngest, is sulphides, arsenic-rich sulphosalts, and antimony-rich and copper-bearing sulphosalts (CM 9.505-521).
