At the type locality, the Yadovitaya fumarole, Second scoria cone, Northern Breakthrough, Great Fissure eruption, Tolbachik Volcanic field, Milkovsky District, Kamchatka Krai, Russia, nabokoite is associated with atlasovite, chalcocyanite, dolerophanite, chloroxiphite, euchlorine, piypite, atacamite, alarsite, fedotovite, lammerite, klyuchevskite, anglesite, langbeinite, hematite and tenorite (Mindat)
