Localities

At the type locality, the Halamish wadi, Hatrurim Basin, Tamar Regional Council, Southern District, Israel, negevite is found in phosphide assemblages as tiny isometric grains reaching 15 microns in size in the pyrometamorphic complex. It forms intimate intergrowths with other phosphides related to the iron - nickel - phosphorus system (AM 105.3.422–427). Associated minerals include murashkoite, zuktamrurite, transjordanite, halamishite, pyrrhotite, magnetite, diopside and andradite (Mindat).
