Localities

At the type locality, Halamish wadi, Hatrurim Basin, Tamar Regional Council, Southern District, Israel, zuktamrurite occurs as grains up to 50 microns in a phosphide assemblage related to the iron-nickel-phosphorus system in pyrometamorphic rocks. Associated minerals include negevite, halamishite, murashkoite and barringerite. The zuktamrurite rarely hosts lamellae of molybdenite.
The pyrometamorphic rocks are affected by severe retrograde alteration involving low-temperature hydrothermal processes and supergene weathering (HOM, Mindat).
