Environments
Puschridgeite is a new mineral, approved in 2025 and to date (June 2026) reported only from the type locality.
Localities
At the type locality, Western end, Pusch Ridge, Pima County, Arizona, USA, both
domitrovicite and puschridgeite occur in cracks or fractures
in a heavily fractured leucogranite, one to two metres below the
rock surface. Minerals associated with puschridgeite include baryte,
fluorite, hematite,
jarosite, quartz and
rasmussenite. Puschridgeite occurs as bladed or prismatic
crystals, with individual crystals up to 0.60 x 0.30 x 0.20 mm3
(CJMP 64.3.275-294).
