Retzian is an extremely rare arsenate.

At the type locality, the Moss mine, Filipstad, Värmland, Sweden, retzian-(Ce) occurs in cavities in dolomite, associated with braunite, dolomite, jacobsite, manganite and pyrochroite (Mindat).
