Environments
Although theoparacelsite was approved in 1998, to date (Marcg 2025) it has been reported only from the type
locality.
Localities
At the type locality, the Roua Mines, Daluis, Nice Arrondissement, Alpes-Maritimes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur,
France, theoparacelsite occurs, within 1 mm geodes of cuprite, as
anhedral grains 0.2 × 0.1 × 0.05 mm3, as smaller equidimension crystals, and as rectangular crystals; also
pulverulent, and as pseudomorphs after
olivenite. Theoparacelsite associates include
olivenite, cornubite,
connellite, tangdanite,
cuprite, native copper,
algodonite and domeykite
(AM 87.356-357).
