Atelisite-(Y) is a relatively new mineral, approved in 2010.

Localities

At the type locality, the Stetind pegmatite, Narvik, Nordland, Norway, atelisite-(Y) occurs as a late, hydrothermal mineral in dissolution cavities in yttrofluorite in the niobium-yttrium-fluorine (NYF) type, quartz-microcline pegmatite. Associated minerals include fluorite, xenotime-(Y), kainosite-(Y), bastnäsite-(Ce), calcioancylite-(Nd) and calcioancylite-(La) (HOM, Mindat).
