Hydrothermal environments

Edenharterite was approved in 1987 but to date (January 2023) it has been reported only from the type locality.

Localities

At the type locality, the Lengenbach Quarry, Fäld, Binn, Goms, Valais, Switzerland, edenharterite occurs as lathlike crystals in a hydrothermal deposit in dolostone. Associated minerals include baumhauerite, realgar, orpiment, hutchinsonite, hatchite, wallisite, lorándite, sartorite, jentschite, erniggliite, stalderite and bernardite (Mindat, HOM).
