Localities

At the type locality, the Lengenbach Quarry, Fäld, Binn, Goms, Valais, Switzerland, jentschite is very rare in a hydrothermal deposit in dolostone, in association with hutchinsonite, wallisite-hatchite, edenharterite, bernardite, sicherite and abundant realgar and orpiment in small cavities in a dolomitic rock. The first specimens consisted of extremely small polysynthetically twinned crystals; a later find yielded less complicated twinned crystals up to 2 mm in length (MM 61.131–137, HOM).
