Localities

At the type locality, the Khatyrka meteorite, Iomrautvaam massif, Anadyrsky District, Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, Russia, hollisterite has been found in the carbonaceous chondrite as a single subhedral crystal, 2 x 7 microns in size. Associated minerals include native aluminium, chromite, native copper, corundum, hercynite, icosahedrite, native iron, khatyrkite, magnetite, naquite, native nickel, stolperite, suessite, taenite and xifengite (Mindat).
