Hydrothermal environments

Kvačekite is a new mineral, approved in 2024 and to date (October 2024) reported only from the type locality.

Localities

At the type locality, the Bukov Mine, Rožná deposit, Rožná, Žďár nad Sázavou District, Vysočina Region, Czech Republic, the uranium ore district is an example of shear-zone hosted hydrothermal mineralisation. Kvačekite occurs as anhedral grains, up to 15 μm in size, associated with nickeltyrrellite, tyrrellite, berzelianite, hakite-(Zn), hakite-(Cd), eucairite, clausthalite, gold and calcite (Mindat).
