Localities

At the type locality, Orijärvi, Kisko, Salo, Southwest Finland, Finland, laitakarite was found as thin veinlets, less than 2 mm wide, in quartz-anthophyllite-cordierite rock, associated with native bismuth, chalcopyrite, sphalerite, molybdenite, native silver, pyrite and galena (AM 44.908).

At the Nevskoe W-Sn Deposit, Omsukchan, Ducat District, Kolyma River Basin, Magadan Oblast, Russia, laitakarite is associated with nevskite, wolframite, natanite, wittite, selenium-bearing bismuthinite, selenium-bearing cosalite, cassiterite and guanajuatite (HOM).

At the Kuraminskie Mountains, Chatkal-Kuraminskii Range, Tashkent, Uzbekistan, laitakarite is associated with tetrahedritetennantite, luzonitefamatinite, pyrite, mawsonite, nekrasovite, chalcopyrite, emplectite, bismuth, calcite, quartz and baryte (HOM).
