Nacareniobsite-(Y) is a new mineral, approved in 2022 and to date (December 2023) reported only from the type locality.

Localities

At the type locality, the Dara-i-Pioz Massif, Districts of Republican Subordination, Tajikistan, nacareniobsite-(Y) is of hydrothermal origin. It occurs as prismatic crystals up to 1 mm long and 0.1 mm thick embedded in an aggregate of coarse-grained reedmergnerite. Associated minerals are reedmergnerite, leucophanite, nordite-(Ce), microcline, zeravshanite, polylithionite, kentbrooksite, yusupovite, fluornatropyrochlore and quartz.
Nacareniobsite-(Y) Crystals are pale yellow and transparent, with a vitreous to translucent lustre (CJMP 61.1123-1136)
