At the type locality, the Torr Works Quarry, Cranmore, Mendip, Somerset, England, UK, rumseyite is part of an assemblage of lead oxychloride minerals that occur in cavities in manganese oxide pods in limestone. Association minerals include calcite, cerussite, diaboleite, hydrocerussite, pyrolusite and manganite (HOM ).
